Packed with activities and full of events: that’s our TOURISMO project!
It has already been some time since we met for the 4th Project Technical and Steering Committee Meeting, held on September 10-11, 2025, in the scenic Croatian locations of Komiža and Biševo. We waited a few days before sharing this update, as we were engaged in the semester reporting and in finalizing the documents to be uploaded to the Interreg platform – key tasks for a project with a total budget of nearly 3 million euros!
September 10 – 4th Project Technical and Steering Committee Meeting – Komiža
Getting to the core of the meeting, on September 10, our Croatian partner RERA S.D welcomed us at the Geopark Vis Archipelago – Visitor Center in Komiža with a well-structured and engaging program that fostered a constructive and collaborative atmosphere.
The day was dedicated to reviewing the financial plan, focusing on Work Package 1 – including the enhancement of the HERIT-DATA platform and the definition of pilot actions – and receiving updates on Work Package 2 regarding the implementation and evaluation of the tests. The program concluded with a study visit to the pilot area of Komiža, providing a direct opportunity to observe the project’s applications in the field.
September 11 – 4th Project Technical and Steering Committee Meeting – Biševo
On September 11, the work continued at the Blue Cave “Modra špilja” Visitor Center in Biševo, with a focus on Work Package 3, centered on exploitation, sustainability, and scaling up of project results.
Updates were shared on communication and dissemination activities, transfer strategies, and coordination with related initiatives. The discussion then turned to the work plan for the fourth semester, carefully defined with upcoming deadlines in mind. The day concluded with study visits to the pilot areas of Vis and Biševo, offering partners concrete opportunities to directly observe the progress in sustainable tourism and the project’s pilot actions.
The meeting confirmed the strong collaboration among partners and the added value of TOURISMO activities, creating valuable spaces for dialogue and exchange, essential for the project’s growth and the implementation of its pilot actions.
