CD-ETA Stakeholder Meeting: digitization of intangible heritage
Last Wednesday, July 5th, we hosted the 4° Stakeholder Meeting (SHM) related to Interreg Europe project CD-ETA.
CD-ETA, acronym of Collaborative Digitization of Natural and Cultural Heritage, is a 5 year long project. It aims at analyzing and deepening themes related to the digitization of natural and cultural heritage, improving the adoption of specific policies on the digitization themes and checking the implementation of best practices in the attending Regions. The implementation of a common cooperation plan will contribute to define standards in mass digitization of natural and cultural heritage. Project roadmap includes local Stakeholders Meetings with local actors actively involved or with a potential interest in the digitization process.
During this SHM we hosted 19 local actors in the beautiful Altana Room of University of Florence. These players were selected among those who work daily with intangible heritage as this was the main theme of the SHM. They had the chance to grow their networks, to highlight concrete or possible synergies, to stress challenges and opportunities in the diffusion and in the right promotion of what is called intangible heritage.

Article 2 – Definitions
The “intangible cultural heritage” means the practices, representations, expressions, knowledge, skills – as well as the instruments, objects, artefacts and cultural spaces associated therewith – that communities, groups and, in some cases, individuals recognize as part of their cultural heritage.
